GUIDELINES & POLICIES

Parents are responsible for purchasing proper footwear and dancewear for safety in class. New students have a period of four weeks to purchase the appropriate attire. Students not wearing the correct uniform may be refused entry into class.

Inappropriate behaviour including bullying during class or within studio grounds will not be tolerated by teachers of the dance school. Any person found to be doing the wrong thing will be asked to leave.

Punctuality – parents must be responsible for ensuring their son or daughter arrives on time and is collected on time. The dance school takes no responsibility for those students who are picked up late.

Chewing gum, soft drinks and mobile phones are strictly prohibited from the studio. If a mobile phone must be brought to class, students are advised to switch it off and leave it in their carry bag until class has finished.

Students wishing to complete their Transition – Major 2 assessment in the current year must attend one syllabus class per week as well as one Classical Ballet class per week. They must also attend a July school holiday workshop.

Any junior student wishing to complete Beginner – Prelude assessments in the current year must also attend one syllabus class per week as well as one Classical Ballet class per week. They must attend a July school holiday workshop.

Private Lessons are to be arranged with the Principal at the commencement of the term. Fees are paid on a casual basis (see fee structure). Private lessons work in 30 minute blocks on a weekly or fortnightly basis. In case of teacher cancellation, a make up lesson will be arranged. If the student cancels the lesson a minimum of 24 hours notice is requires of the full lesson fee is still applicable.
